Last of the year 2004
So how did I spend my last day of 2004? Working, sadly. And yeah, at this current moment, while everyone I know on this earth is out having fun and enjoying themselves, I am here, at home, sitting in front of my computer. And I've taken off my contacts, for good measure, so I can't actually see what I'm typing.
However, I must say I had a good day at work, if only for one moment that sparked up the entire day. Ahahah,, call me really sad, but I was letting Lizzie go for lunch at the sale store when three security guards/cop came to top up the ATM machine which was directly across where I was. The best part was that one of the guys was really spunky. He reminded me of a Freddie Prince Jnr/Tom Cruise but definitely much cuter, standing there guarding while his other buddy got the job done. Not to sound really sick but he looked so good, with his hands crossed, folded over the front of his belt and a holster to one side with a REAL gun in it. Woah. Scary stuff. But he looked good though.. And no tummy too! Well, at least not an obvious one from where I was. So I spent a great part of Lizzie's lunchtime staring as this fella.. How much more pathetic can one get.
Anywayz, I was trying to come up with a list of achievements I made in 2004 but I couldn't come up with much. Aside from leaving high school, I can't really think of anything else except for emphasizing my strong beliefs in friendship. Jess reckons that could be a bad thing though. She says I care for my friends too much. Bleah.
However, I can think of a massive failure of mine, very connected to my disappointing results. Yeah, that's right. I didn't make it into Commerce/Science as I had planned to. The worst thing is that, although I did get a higher mark than both Jess and Winnie (which is a satisfying accomplishment for me, unfortunately), they both are very likely to get into Commerce/Science at UWA while i'll be the only one who didn't make it into Commerce/Science at Melb. Although that could hardly be considered fair since the TER for Com/Sci at UWA is only 90 for local students and even lower for international students, while Melb Uni has a TER of 97.6 as a 1st round clearly-in. Much higher, yes. But still, regardless, among the three of us, I'll be the one that didn't get in even though I got a higher mark. And that would be my biggest failure this year.
On a good note, LEAVERS 2004! Yeah, that's me orright. Hah!! I'm outta high school for goooooddddd... A year behind my old buddies but it's okay guys. Jenn is finally catching up!! Wheeee~...!!! And this year, after 4 years of my life, I will be reunited with a couple of my KL buddies, namely Chiew Keng and Yen Teng in uni. Hah!! We're back to the same level.. =P Yippeee!! It's been a gawd-awful but blessed year. A contradiction which is true.
